The forthcoming Galaxy S8 is not going to release this month during the MWC – Mobile World Congress show, but Samsung will show a one-minute teaser of its flagship during the event. Undoubtedly, it is one of the most awaited smartphones of 2017, and after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco, people are curious to see the comeback of the South Korean tech giant. Meanwhile, the newly emerging reports suggest that Samsung will come with a new design, but it is quite unusual if we believe on the reports. The source indicates that the new Galaxy S8 fingerprint scanner will be rear.
The New Galaxy S8 Fingerprint Scanner Will Be Rear
We have seen and covered many leaked images of Galaxy S8 before. The new design includes many changes. The home button has been disposed of entirely neither physical nor embedded. The bezels of the top and bottom on the front of Galaxy S8 will be narrow.
However, the fingerprint scanner will be on the back of the screen, right next to the camera. The images of a fingerprint scanner on the source website shows single lens rear camera but a few other leaked images suggesting a dual-lens rear camera.
The rear fingerprint scanner will lead to three possible difficulties.
- Research has proved that we check our smartphones more than 100 times a day. Regular users will end up fingering the rear camera lens instead of fingerprint scanner beside the camera.
- The users with smaller hands will be affected because of it. The size of the Galaxy S8 models will be around 5.7 inches and 6.2 inches. So, it will be difficult to reach and use it.
- The third difficulty is the positioning of the scanner. Only right-handed users will feel comfortable to use it.
Samsung should be careful with these type of features as it will be the flagship debut of Samsung after Galaxy Note 7 fiasco.
