Release Date

The Galaxy S8 is set to launch on 29th of March 2017, and the release date is believed to be 21st of April 2017. However, the rumored release date of HTC 11 is in the month of April 2017.

Design & Specs

There will be two models of Galaxy S8, such as Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. The Galaxy S8 will feature 5.8 inches and 6.2 inches display screen. Both the Galaxy S8 variants will be dual-edge curved. A dual camera setup for Galaxy S8 Plus and a single lens for Galaxy S8 version is speculated.


The Galaxy S8 will be water and dust proof, using IP 68 certified. Samsung will introduce AI assistant called ‘Bixby’ similar to Apple Siri and Google Assistant. The processor of the Galaxy S8 will be Snapdragon 835, and the RAM would be 4 GB.

The HTC 11 will have a 5.5 inches screen AMOLED with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. The predecessor HTC 10 was not waterproof and got criticized for it. However, the rumors are suggesting that HTC 11 will feature waterproof technology.

The HTC 11 will feature dual lens rear camera setup just like Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus. Interestingly, the HTC 11 will have narrow bezels and edge to edge design.

It is hard to recommend HTC 11 here because we are not sure whether it will be good or not.  It is hard to recommend waiting for the HTC 11 because we have got no idea about how the smartphone will perform. HTC has a mixed track record with its flagship. On the other hand, Samsung is debuting after the Galaxy Note 7 fiasco with amazing specs and features. The predecessor Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge were successful, and they are still in the market. So, unless you are not HTC loyal fan, we will recommend you Samsung Galaxy S8.
