A new report by unnamed source has claimed that Galaxy S8 will feature payment verification feature by the help of facial recognition. The Bloomberg’s shared that Samsung will employ facial recognition for the mobile payments within months after the release.
The Galaxy S8 will not have this technology when it releases Galaxy S8 on 21st of April in the New York event. The voice and facial is not new for Samsung as they are using it since the Galaxy S4. However, the payments through facial recognition would be the first instance. The source also mentioned that this feature would blend the iris scanner, rear fingerprint scanner and facial recognition to authentic different mobile services including the Samsung Pay.
Now, we have to wait and see that this alleged feature and its implementation will set the Samsung Galaxy S8 apart from the upcoming Apple iPhone 8, recently released LG G6 and rest of the competitors. People are hoping to see accurate and fast enough facial recognition and iris scanner that it will relieve the need of using fingerprint sensor.
